#2 AWG is a heavy-duty wire used for service entrance conductors, subpanel feeders up to 100 A, EV charging circuits, large HVAC equipment, and welders. Copper #2 AWG has a diameter of 6.544 mm (0.2576 in), cross-section of 33.62 mm², and carries 115 A at 75°C insulation rating. Aluminum #2 AWG carries 90 A. Always derate for conduit fill, temperature correction, and continuous loads per NEC 310.15.
